I felt so powerful when I was at the Supreme Court of the United States. I was the only one there in a little plaid suit too. Wish I would have had a gavel to “lay down the law.” The law needs to be laid down ~ just like guns do in order to HELP control violence before it controls us.
Most of us are just little guys, whether we wear plaid suits or not, we just want to live in harmony, not fear. I should be able to do that and you should be able to do that too. If we fall off our wall, it’s because, well, just because we fell, not because we were shot down. That scares me a lot these days.
So, if I were in the Supreme Court, or any of court, I’d say, “Stop shooting at little people who just want to see, to feel, to dream, to love, and to know that they will have a chance to grow into big people.” I might be stuffed and dressed in plaid but even I, Mr. H.D., feel pain and joy.
